Storage
The AFZ concentrates on conservation and recovery of native species, but we also provide a facility to capture and cryogenically preserve living cells and genetic material of rare and exotic animals on behalf of Australian Zoos, conservation organizations and universities; domesticated species used for specialized medical or veterinary research; and of commercially valuable aquatic and terrestrial animal stocks on behalf of industry and government departments for biosecurity, future research and breeding programs.
